BREAKFAST FETISHISM

Breakfast Fetishism is an interactive performance born from discussions with Dr Ghazoan Ali on the concept of commodity fetishism. With this project, we wanted to take up the challenge to make the sharing of philosophical ideas thought provoking and entertaining, humorously taking participants at the discovery of what is in their English breakfast, using low-fi devices such as human Ipads: “click on an item to see where it comes from”.

Presented at Potluck 5 in May 2012, at the Whitstable Biennale Satellite in September 2012, at GEEK in February 2013 and at Accidental Festival (Roundhouse) in May 2013 - this research is on going as we keep adding products and provenances to the breakfast menu.
