I have been working on organising a new peer support group for every kind of maker and every kind of mother. I had heard of this national initiative started by Matilda Leyser (Improbable) and wanted one in Thanet, I thought I could be the one making it happen rather than waiting...

How to carry our creative selves and our children, our work of mothering and of making, is the focus of this group. If you are a mother and a maker (writer, painter, actor, dancer, musician, film-maker, photographer…), and if you wonder how to do both these things with fullness, I would love you to come to the first meeting; Matilda Leyser will be facilitating this initial session. Feel free to bring along your children of any age, whether they are inside you, beside you or running round the room. Mothers of older children are also extremely welcome. Bring whatever provisions, toys or creative materials would make you and/or your child feel most welcome. FREE (donations to cover costs welcome)
